Last week, TCFC Finance Co., the development company that owns the land on which Vail Resorts operates its ski area, and Replay Resorts hosted a community meeting about the new Canyons Village Master Plan to reconfigure approximately 2.3 million of square feet of development in the upper and lower village. The plan was met with support for its efforts to reduce traffic, increase parking, and build a pedestrian-friendly village. The master developer of the Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort wants to create a “more cohesive and vibrant village core for all seasons” with the help of a new master plan.

By linking two of North America’s greatest ski areas, Vail Resorts has created Park City Mountain. With 7,300 acres of skiable terrain, it’s the largest mountain resort in the U.S. The Park City experience starts at Canyons Village, and plans are underway to transform the village into a vibrant four-season center of recreation, celebration and imagination. Looking forward to the 2016–17 ski season, there are new and exciting things in store for skiers and riders. This is a really long post, so grab a snack and play some ski tunes to set the mood. This list starts with what’s new at Utah’s resorts, then covers deals and passes, so make sure you get to the end of the article.

Last weekend was Autumn Aloft which made the most of our beautiful fall weather and some amazing photos. Looking for something to do this weekend - Snowbird's Oktoberfest runs from Aug 15 - Oct 11. Oktoberfest at Snowbird features music, dancing, traditional German cuisine, and a beer garden. Enjoy a bratwurst and sauerkraut, apfelstrudel and more. Kids young and old can enjoy face painting, a caricature artist, inflatable rides, yo-yo demonstrations, clowns, music, balloons and other activities. Until next week - here is the latest Park City neighborhood video from Berkshire Hathaway.
