Jordanelle Reservoir Area
The Jordanelle Reservoir sits on top of what were once the two former mining towns of Keetley and Hailstone. It includes the areas all around the lake, some of which are in Summit County and some of which are in Wasatch County. The Mayflower area offers several different communities including Hailstone, Star Harbor, Fox Bay and The Lodge at Stillwater, which offers itself as a full ownership condominium/hotel. This area is also the home to the Hailstone State Park at Jordanelle known for swimming, standup paddle boarding, sailing, water skiing, fishing, picnic areas, camping, and a marina for the avid boater. The Mayflower exit also leads directly to the Deer Crest gondola, offering easy access to skiing, hiking, and biking from this neighborhood. There will be a tunnel under 40 to connect 40 to Deer Valley to the area in the future. On the other side of the Jordanelle is Hideout Canyon, which boasts a 9-hole golf course on the lake. Taliskers’ gated Tuhaye community offers a private 18-hole golf course and some of the areas grandest homes including Deer Mountain and the Shoreline Village subdivisions.
