One of the reasons families move to Park City is the Park City School District. The District offers a child care center, preschool, full day kindergarten at each of the four elementary schools, middle school, junior high and a nationally ranked high school. Business Insider ranked the Park City School District as the best school district in Utah with Academics and Teachers receiving an A+. The teacher to student ratio is 20:1 with spending on students higher than average at $12,870 per year. Each level of education offers new programs to students including 1st graders learning computer coding, high school students volunteering in Cuba and all students grades 6th -12th receiving laptops during the academic school year.

There are many outstanding programs running at all the schools, but to showcase one for this blog we chose the EATS - Eat Awesome Things At School program created by Ann Bloomquist. EATS works in partnership with the Park City School District and our community to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating for our students. By teaching our kids how to make healthier choices, they hope to generate lifelong habits that promote health and well-being, leading to happy and successful adults. The EATS program has school taste tests, cooking classes for better health, indoor and outdoor school gardens, year round programs for the entire family and has started 15 to Clean - a Park City School District Children Health Initiative.

As our team works with the greater Park City area we wanted to share links on the surrounding area school districts that are also highly rated.

Wasatch School District - includes Heber, Midway and Hideout Canyon.  The teachers, academics, sports and fitness are strong in this district with a student to teacher ratio of 21:1.

North Summit School District- includes Wanship, Coalville and Hoytsville. The teachers, academics and SAT scores all rank high in this district with a student to teacher ratio of 19:1.

South Summit School District - includes Kamas, Francis, Oakley, Woodland and Marion. The academics, clubs and activities score high in this district with a student to teacher ratio of 20:1.

Please contact us with any questions as we would be happy to provide more information on any of the schools listed above. The Park City school district as well as the surrounding districts also have many private education choices as well as charter school options.
